A friend of mine ask me to find a map showing the various depths of the Corcoran Clay layer throughout the Central Valley of California. Two years later I was sitting in on a Stanislaus County Water Advisory meeting when someone mentioned this allusive map. Long story short, Dane Mathis at the Department of Water Resources knew exactly what I was talking about and provided me with the map. The map is attached to this post.
